Chief Advisor- Data Science at Robert Bosch

Dr. Sheela Siddappa is the Chief Advisor for the Data Science Program at Bosch. She guides the unit with Technical Solutions, Business Trend, Consultation, Recruitment, etc., With over 14 years of Industry Experience in the field of Machine Learning, Dr. Sheela has addressed business problems in domains like Industry 4.0, Health Care, Energy, Manufacturing, Smart city, etc.

Prior to joining Bosch, Dr. Sheela worked as a Senior Research Scientist and Scientist at the Research Centers of Infosys and General Motors respectively. Sheela received Engineering (2000) from RVCE, Bengaluru. MS (2002) and PhD (2006) from University of Texas at Arlington, USA, with major in Machine Learning and Optimization.

Dr. Sheela is the Associate Editor for Inderscience - International Journal of Big Data Management Journal. She is a receiver of - Tool Method Invention Award, Best Poster Award, International Best Speaker Award and many more for her innovative and novel work. She has filed three patents and has more than 25 International journal and conferences publications to her credit.
She is the Advisory Board member for Data Science program at multiple Institutes like, RVCE- Bangalore, PSG Institute of Technology- Coimbatore, SSN Institute- Chennai, Jain University- Bengaluru, etc. Dr. Sheela is a member of various societies like, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Alpha Pi Mu, Institute of Industrial Engineers, NASSCOM, INFORMS, and so on.

Sound Based Machine Learning Solution for Industry 4.0

Sensors play a significant role in Digital Twin and productivity improvement topics of Industry. One might be curious to know if there any alternatives and how good are those solutions ? This talk focuses on adapting sound data for analyzing the performance of equipment. A live project that was implemented in Norway will be discussed.
